Delete account
You can delete your Rasum account for good. You do this on your account page at rasum.chat. If that does not work, support helps you by email.
Delete your account on the account page
Section titled “Delete your account on the account page”- In the chat list, tap your profile picture at the top left. The “Settings” open.
- Tap “Manage account & devices”. The account page at rasum.chat opens in the browser.
- On the account page, look for the option to delete your account.
- Follow the steps and confirm the deletion. The page may ask for your password.
Is there a “Delete account” button in the app?
Section titled “Is there a “Delete account” button in the app?”That depends on the account. If you see the red “Delete account” entry at the very bottom of the “Settings”, you can also use it. The app then shows “Deleting your account is irreversible” and explains the consequences.
If you do not see the entry, use the account page as described above.
What happens if I only uninstall the app?
Section titled “What happens if I only uninstall the app?”Uninstalling does not delete your account. Your account remains, and you can sign in again later. To delete it, you have to use the account page.
What should I consider before deleting?
Section titled “What should I consider before deleting?”- You can no longer sign in with this account afterwards.
- If you also want to remove the recovery key from your iCloud Keychain or Google account, turn off key storage first. See Turn off key storage.
Deletion does not work? Contact support
Section titled “Deletion does not work? Contact support”If you cannot delete your account on the account page, write an email to service@rasum.net. Include your username (@name:rasum.chat).
